Barrow County Habitat for Humanity

EVERY DONATION helps a family build a safe and affordable home.

OUR VISION

Everyone in Barrow County deserves a safe, decent, affordable place to call home.

Barrow County Habitat is a non-profit organization that builds and renovates homes, giving people a hand up in our community, and allowing them to own homes. We partner with local churches, organizations, schools, and individuals to construct, repair, and rehabilitate homes for families in need.

Barrow County Habitat for Humanity has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views, or any the other distinctions that too often divide people.

In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion.

As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.

There are a number of ways to get involved with Barrow County Habitat for Humanity. Visit our Volunteer Page for more information on volunteer opportunities with Barrow Habitat. If you are interested in Donating to the Habitat mission here in Winder please do so through our secure online form.
